Fishing System

Renegade MC features a fully custom fishing system with unique fish, rarities, bait, special tools, and a catch minigame. Fishing is a great way to earn gems and complete certain quests.

Getting Started

Craft or obtain a Fishing Rod and head to any body of water. Cast your line and wait for a bite. When the bobber dips, a catch minigame begins — land the arrow in the green zone to successfully reel in the fish.

Fish Rarities

Fish come in six rarity tiers. Higher rarity fish are worth more but harder to catch.

Bait

Bait boosts your bite speed and increases the chance of catching rarer fish. Right-click your rod to apply bait before casting.

Special Fishing Tools

Fishing Net

Throw a net to catch 2–5 fish at once from a large radius.
Has a 90 second cooldown.
Does not require a bite minigame.

Fishing Boat

A special boat that auto-fishes while you ride it.
Catches a fish automatically every 45 seconds.
Auto-fishing is limited to Common and Uncommon fish.

Underwater Harpoon

Used underwater to spear fish directly.
Range of 12 blocks, 5 second cooldown.
Only catches Rare or higher fish.

Fishing Totem

A placeable item that affects all players fishing within 20 blocks.
Increases bite speed by 20% and boosts rarity chances by 30% for non-common fish.

Fishing Enchants

Equip your fishing rod with these enchants to supercharge your fishing:

The Catch Minigame

When a fish bites, a minigame bar appears. An arrow moves back and forth across the bar — hit the Right-click button to stop it when the arrow is in the green zone to land the catch.

Missing the green zone loses the fish.
The green zone width and arrow speed are fixed — practice improves your timing.

Selling Fish

Use /fish sell or sell directly from your rewards menu. Fish are worth both money and gems, making fishing one of the best gem-income activities on the server.
